    Quick Reads are short, sharp shots of entertainment: bite-sized books by bestselling writers and celebrities. They are ideal for regular readers wanting a short, fast read, and for those who have lost the reading habit or find reading tough. Click here to read more about the books and their authors.

  • Where can I buy Quick Reads?

    A brand-new set of Quick Reads were launched on World Book Day, 4 March 2010.

    They are available from supermarkets, bookshops and online at just £1.99. You can also buy Quick Reads as eBooks

  • Can I buy the books in bulk?

    Yes. If you would like to order sets and multiple copies of the books these are available from wholesalers and publishers. Find out more

  • Are the books available in alternative formats?

    Yes, some of the books are available in alternative formats such as large print and Braille. The individual publishers will be able to supply you with details.

  • Are the books suitable for children?

    The books have been written specifically for adults and may contain some content you may feel is not appropriate for children.

  • I’m an author interested in writing a Quick Reads title, is this possible?

    The criteria for Quick Reads authors is that they are:

    1. leading bestselling authors
    2. leading names within their field (eg Gordon Ramsay, John Simpson, Richard Branson and John Bird)
    3. celebrity names who will draw new readers to the world of books (eg Dragons’ Den and Doctor Who.)
    Authors are chosen by the Quick Reads steering committee, which is made up of leading publishers, book retailers and others in the UK.
