About the Author
One of ten children born into poverty in Blackburn, Josephine Cox’s early life was hard, though not devoid of laughter and love. At sixteen she met and married her husband, Ken and they had two sons. When her sons started school, Josephine went to college and eventually became a teacher. While renovating a derelict council house to create the family home she began her first full-length novel. She now writes full-time.
