About the Authors
Ian Rankin was born in Scotland and started writing while a student. His first Inspector Rebus novel, Knots and Crosses, was published in 1987 and the Rebus books are now bestsellers around the world. Ian Rankin was awarded an OBE in 2002. He lives in Edinburgh.
